Bundle up & Be safe when shoveling!!
- Warm up first
- Wear slip-resistant footwear
- Use good body mechanics, lift with your legs, not your back
- Push the snow whenever possible instead of lifting it
- Lift smaller loads of snow
- Avoid twisting, and rotate your whole body into position
- Shovel early and often, don’t wait for it to be too deep
- Stay hydrated
- Stop when tired
