Bundle up & Be safe when shoveling!!

 

  1.  Warm up first
  2. Wear slip-resistant footwear
  3. Use good body mechanics, lift with your legs, not your back
  4. Push the snow whenever possible instead of lifting it
  5. Lift smaller loads of snow
  6. Avoid twisting, and rotate your whole body into position
  7. Shovel early and often, don’t wait for it to be too deep
  8. Stay hydrated
  9. Stop when tired
    10. Outsource the work if it has become too much.
